3G regulation for the case of warning level 1 in Jena
In the event of an increased infection situation and the reaching of a higher warning level according to the Thuringian early warning system, municipalities are obliged to issue further protective measures that are adapted to the infection situation. At its meeting yesterday, the crisis management team of the city of Jena therefore discussed further possible measures to be implemented if the city were to reach warning level 1. After examining the catalog of measures proposed in the Thuringian Containment Decree, the extension of testing obligations listed at the top of the list appears to be an appropriate protective measure. Under current law, people who have been vaccinated or have recovered would be exempt from this.
Accordingly, this 3G regulation should be extended to other areas. Access to indoor gastronomy, attendance at public events, access to sports and fitness studios, swimming pools and similar facilities and offers, as well as the use of paid overnight accommodation would therefore only be possible for those who have been tested, recoveredor vaccinated.
The measures currently under discussion are subject to change. A concrete decision can only be made in view of the infection situation at the time.
When does warning level 1 come into force?
As soon as the 7-day incidence and at least one other additional indicator (hospitalization incidence, intensive care bed occupancy for Thuringia) are above the threshold values for three consecutive days, warning level 1 applies. Further measures would then be ordered by means of a general decree, which must be coordinated in advance with the state of Thuringia.
The basic level (GREEN) currently applies for Jena. The 7-day incidence is currently (as of 10.09.2021) 61.4, the hospitalization rate is 0.9 (comparison warning level 1: 4.0-6.9%) and the intensive care bed occupancy for Thuringia is 2.0% (comparison warning level 1: 3.0-5.9%).
