4 new corona cases in Jena

Today, 4 new cases of infection with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were reported to the Health Service.

Details of the cases:

• A young person who had been on vacation in a risk area.
• An elderly person who was in contact with the person reported yesterday.
• Another elderly person who - like the travel group in the previous case - was returning from a trip to the west of the Czech Republic.
• One positive case involved a care worker who works in a nursing home. Extensive measures were taken there immediately. All residents and staff at the facility will be tested on Friday.
