
All eight nominations for mayor of Jena approved
Lord Mayor election
All eight nominations for the election of the Lord Mayor of Jena on May 26 have been approved. This was announced by the deputy election officer Diana Kölbel after yesterday's meeting of the election committee.
City council election
One election proposal for the city council election was rejected: The "OFF:ene Liste Sozio- und Nachtkultur" was only able to submit 39 valid signatures of the required 184 supporting signatures and is therefore not eligible for the election.
One candidate from the FDP's election proposal has been removed. This candidate is not eligible (has moved).
Election of the district mayors
All nominations received for the election of district mayors have been approved. There are no candidates in the Ammerbach district, one candidate in 18 districts and two to five nominations in eleven districts.
District council elections
Two candidates for the district councils in Jena-Nord could not be admitted to the election. The candidates had nominated themselves and had not resubmitted their applications despite being requested to do so.
