André Sack becomes the new Managing Director of Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck

André Sack will become the new Managing Director of Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck on February 1, 2024. The 44-year-old business graduate will manage the business of the municipal energy supplier together with Claudia Budich as dual leadership. He was initially appointed by the supervisory bodies of Stadtwerke Energie until 2027.

André Sack has held various management positions within the Stadtwerke Jena Group since 2015. Most recently, he was an authorized signatory of Stadtwerke Jena and Stadtwerke Energie and was responsible for the areas of business administration and energy management services. Born in Thuringia, he has lived in Jena for over 20 years.

Stadtwerke Supervisory Board Chairman and Lord Mayor Thomas Nitzsche: "In André Sack, we have gained a managing director who has outstanding expertise and has already demonstrated his skills in various management positions. He will profitably contribute his many years of experience in the energy sector to the forward-looking tasks associated with the energy transition in Jena and the region." André Sack's predecessor Gunar Schmidt will leave the management of Stadtwerke Energie for personal reasons on January 31, 2024.
