Appeal for donations for earthquake victims

Even two weeks after the earthquake, the images from Turkey and Syria are appalling and illustrate the scale of the disaster. Those affected urgently need help. If you would like to help, you can donate at the following locations in Jena:

Donate in Jena

A donation box is available in the WeltRaum in the Jena One World House (Unterm Markt 13). Cash donations can be handed in here from Monday to Friday from 15:00 to 19:00. The Kurdish community in Jena will transfer the donations directly to the earthquake area.

Donations in kind are accepted by the AWO Specialist Service for Migration and Integration at Kastanienstraße 11 in Lobeda-Ost on Friday and Saturday, as well as on Monday and Tuesday from 10:00 to 17:00. Items needed include first aid kits, hygiene articles, baby food and sleeping bags (no clothing). Financial donations can be transferred to the donation account Mittelthüringen DE62 8205 1000 0301 0177 60 with the reference: "Earthquake"

A benefit concert for the earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey will take place on Saturday, 25.02.2023, at 19:00, in the city church of Jena. Several Jena music groups - including the Octavians, the student choir and the Schott Wind Orchestra - will be performing. Admission is free, donations are requested.
