Care - what to do?
The guide: "Pflege - was tun?!" ("Care - what to do?!"), is produced and regularly updated by the City of Jena (Integrated Social Planning - Elderly Care Planning team). A new edition of the booklet is now available. 5,000 copies were printed - the costs were financed by advertising.
The aim of the guide is to support the socio-political objective of "outpatient before inpatient". The information and contacts listed in the guide are intended in particular to help people in need of help and care, their relatives and friends to find their way through the wide range of services in a clear and comprehensible form. The aim is to provide options and information on how to obtain individual relief in the event of a need for help and support or a need for care.
The Long-Term Care Insurance Act has created a care landscape that offers various possibilities for support from health insurance funds, state benefits, self-help groups, organizations and associations. It is often difficult for those in need of help and care to find their way around and find the necessary contacts and advisors. The guide thus supports a self-determined life into old age in one's own home and creates the basis for dealing with old age and the difficulties that often accompany it in good time.
Interested parties can obtain the guide by post from the planning department for elderly care or pick it up themselves at the city's meeting and advice centers. It is also available for download on the website of the care support center - available at: https://www.pflegestuetzpunkt-jena.de
