Change to EC card payments at parking ticket machines from July

In order to be able to continue to offer a reliable and economically viable service, the conditions for EC card payments at the parking ticket machines of Kommunalservice Jena will be adjusted: From 01.07.2025, EC card payments will only be possible from a minimum amount of 1.50 euros.

The background to this measure is the significant increase in transaction costs charged by external payment service providers. In order to avoid an economic burden on the public sector, this step is unfortunately unavoidable. Alternative payment options such as coins and mobile payment solutions are of course still available.

From next week, clearly visible information stickers will be affixed to the affected machines to draw users' attention to the new regulations.
