Child day care in Jena
Anyone looking for loving and attentive care for their child and an appreciative educational partnership will find a professional and pedagogically sound form of care in childminding. For our youngest children aged 3 months to 3 years, childminding by a childminder is a valuable, adequate alternative to kindergarten. The small group of a maximum of 5 children is reminiscent of a family in terms of structure, routine and set-up and allows for very individual, needs-oriented care. And it is much more - it is a companion for the first and yet so difficult step of letting go for the little ones and their parents from family closeness and familiarity, into a world of playing, learning and conquering. This loving and sensitive attention is highly recommended, especially for children who do not feel comfortable in a large group of children. Parents and childminders often develop a close, trusting relationship as equals.
With the start of the new kindergarten year, there will also be vacancies in child day care and the childminders are looking forward to welcoming more children. Child day care has existed in Jena for over 27 years and yet it is unknown to many parents or is often mistakenly seen as elitist. The costs for childcare are the same as kindergarten fees and depend on the income of the parents or guardians.
36 childminders have established themselves in all parts of the city and ensure that parents have the right to choose between the various kindergartens and childminders as stipulated in the Thuringian Kindergarten Act.
They are specially qualified, licensed by the responsible youth welfare office and professionally supervised in their work. Participation in further training, supervision, networking meetings as well as the constant discussion of pedagogical topics are obligatory. Various concepts such as Montessori, Waldorf or nature education are implemented. The work is based on the Thuringian Education Plan and the Thuringian Kindergarten Act.
Child day care is a very responsible and demanding task that requires empathy, self-reflection, communication skills and, above all, warmth of heart, commitment and enthusiasm.
