City Council appoints C. Budich and T. Wolfrum as Managing Directors of Stadtwerke Jena
At its meeting on 27.01., the Jena City Council appointed Claudia Budich and Tobias Wolfrum as Managing Directors of Stadtwerke Jena GmbH with effect from 01.02.2021 for an initial period of two years. The city's highest political body is thus following the proposal of the Supervisory Board in December 2020, which had also appointed Claudia Budich as Managing Director of Stadtwerke Energie Jena-Pößneck GmbH for the same period.
I am very pleased with the city council's decision. Claudia Budich and Tobias Wolfrum have helped shape the Stadtwerke family for many years. They stand for economic stability and commitment to the common good in equal measure and are the ideal team to lead Stadtwerke into a successful future together with its employees,
emphasizes Dr. Thomas Nitzsche, Lord Mayor of the City of Jena and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Stadtwerke Jena.
Stadtwerke Jena and its subsidiaries are facing major investments that are of enormous importance for the development of Jena and the region. These include the expansion of renewable energies, the renewal of the grid infrastructure, the procurement of new streetcars for Jena's local transport system, the modernization of the housing stock and new construction projects by jenawohnen or the construction of a new indoor swimming pool by Jenaer Bäder.
Especially in this phase of new beginnings, it is very good that there will be an orderly transition at the top of the company in the course of the year. I would like to thank the previous managing directors Thomas Zaremba and Thomas Dirkes, without whose services to the company such a further development would be unthinkable,
said Nitzsche.
