City of Jena offers reward
In the evening hours of 13.03.2021 at around 20:30, there were serious riots in Jena city center, some of which resulted in considerable damage to property. In Löbderstraße in particular, shop windows were smashed, firecrackers set off and facades sprayed with black paint. So far, it is known that a group of around 20 people, mainly dressed in black, are suspected of the offences.
Mayor Thomas Nitzsche and Head of Security Benjamin Koppe, in consultation with the Jena Criminal Investigation Department, have decided to offer a reward of 3,000 euros for any useful information.
Head of Department Benjamin Koppe:
We are doing everything we can to support the police in their efforts to investigate the breach of the peace. Politically motivated crime will not be tolerated in Jena. We are asking the public for support and relevant information that can help to solve these serious crimes.
The information must be of sufficient importance (including video or image recordings) and not yet known to the investigating authorities at the time the reward is offered. Only private individuals can receive the reward.
Please send any information to the Jena Criminal Investigation Department, Carl-Pulfrich-Straße 5a, by telephone on 0049 3641 811440 or 0049 03641 812464. The telephones are manned around the clock.
