City of Jena once again among the best trainers
The city of Jena will still be one of Germany's best places to train in 2024. This is the recently published result of a study by the business magazine "Capital" and the platform "Ausbildung.de". The team of training coordinators Anja Andritzke and Antonia Erdmann were awarded four out of five stars for both training and dual studies.
"We are very proud of this award," said Anja Andritzke. The fact that the city of Jena was able to achieve such good ratings is primarily thanks to the dedicated trainers. More than 100 trainers now support the trainees in the core administration and the municipal enterprises.
Extensive list of questions in five categories
Between mid-March and mid-May, the participating companies answered an extensive list of questions that analyzed five categories: one aspect was the support and involvement of the trainees - whereby the qualifications and support of the trainers were also examined. The second topic, "Learning in the company", included questions on teaching methods, performance reviews and training plans. The third part dealt with strategies and budgets for training marketing. The fourth category looked at innovative methods such as the use of digital media, as well as the question of how companies integrate the technical skills of their trainees in practice. The fifth section focused on the trainees' chances of success. The companies had to state the takeover and drop-out rates, training and starting salaries and were asked to describe the career opportunities and further training options after the apprenticeship.
In September, the city welcomed 33 new trainees. "The number of our trainees has risen continuously over the past ten years," said Antonia Erdmann. While the number of new trainees and students in 2015 was 28, it is set to rise to 45 in the coming year. The spectrum has also become increasingly broad - the city of Jena now offers almost 30 training and study programs. New additions this year are the industrial clerk and forestry apprenticeships, both of which are offered by Kommunalservice Jena.
Twelve training courses are currently advertised for the coming year at https://karriere.jena.de/de/jobboerse.
