Civil engineering works in Jena - obstructions and information on waste disposal

Currently, external companies are carrying out civil engineering work for the fiber optic expansion in many districts and in the city area of Jena. For residents and the Jena Municipal Service (KSJ), this can lead to short-term obstructions in road traffic and especially in the accessibility of waste disposal. Unfortunately, the companies carrying out the work often do not have detailed schedules. The refuse collectors are therefore often faced with blocked road access. The implementation of the following instructions will help to ensure disposal.

Important tips for waste disposal:

1. Pay increased attention: If restrictions due to construction work are foreseeable on collection days, the KSJ asks residents to take their waste garbage cans and/or bulky waste to the nearest accessible point/street (collection points).
2. Information from residents: Please report construction sites that block disposal routes immediately by e-mail to staedtereinigung@jena.de.
