Commemoration of the victims of National Socialist tyranny
Mayor Thomas Nitzsche and representatives of the city council and administration will lay a wreath to mark the day of remembrance for the victims of National Socialist tyranny on January 27. 77 years ago, the remaining prisoners of the Auschwitz-Birkenau extermination camp were liberated by the Red Army.
The Lord Mayor will speak words of remembrance. All interested parties are cordially invited to join the commemorative event. The usual hygiene measures apply.

Memorial at the Heinrichsberg
This will be followed by the midday prayer in the town church at 12.00 noon. Reference will also be made to the day of remembrance.
