‘Connecting and Getting Active’ – Jena invites you to Intergenerational Week

From 9 to 13 November 2026, Jena will be all about bringing generations together. Under the motto ‘Meet and Move’, Generations Week invites people to get active together, gain new experiences and strike up conversations through a wide range of hands-on activities and events.

Whether young or old, the Week of Generations offers a wide range of opportunities to bring people of different ages together. At numerous venues and locations across the city, anyone interested can spend time together, try out new things and discover something new.

The focus is on encounters, shared activities and intergenerational exchange. The week of activities aims to help break down barriers, strengthen mutual understanding and promote social cohesion within the city’s community.
