Constituent meeting of the Jena Advisory Board for Migration and Integration
The constituent meeting of the Jena Advisory Board for Migration and Integration, which was newly elected last December, took place yesterday evening in the presence of the Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche. In his welcoming address, Dr. Nitzsche expressed his delight at the diverse composition of the nine-member advisory board and praised the significant increase in voter turnout and the resulting strong mandate for the advisory board.
New board elected
The Advisory Board then elected its new Executive Board. Rea Mauersberger was re-elected as Chairwoman. Her deputy is now Ivan Nizovtsev and Ibrahim Othman will be responsible for the finances in future. Numerous goals for the five-year term of the Advisory Board were already set at the constituent meeting. In two workshops in February, the advisory board members will work intensively on concrete measures under the moderation of the Intercultural Opening Office.
