Eastern Löbdergraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: At Saalstraße level

• Details: The area can be passed on foot.

Naumburger Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure with one-way street regulation
• Location: At the junction with Brückenstraße
• Duration: 31.08. to 06.09.2022
• Reason: Work on the balcony system
• Details: Inbound traffic can proceed. Out-of-town traffic will be diverted.
  From 07.09.2022 to 10.09.2022, traffic will be guided past the half-sided closure on both sides. Congestion is to be expected for out-of-town traffic, as it will be obliged to wait. The area can be passed on foot.

Otto-Schott-Straße

Carolinenstrasse

• Type: Complete closure

• Reason: Pavement renovation
• Details: The construction work will be divided into several construction phases so that access for residents/rescue and supply services is guaranteed. A detour will be signposted on site. The area can be passed on foot.

Eichplatz (parking lot)

• Type: Partial closure
• Duration: until 04.12.2022
• Reason: Carrying out archaeological investigations in advance of the development of construction site A
• Details: In order to be able to carry out the work professionally, restrictions on the parking lotare unavoidablefor a period of approx. five months. However, high priority will be given to ensuring that as many parking spaces and pathways as possible are maintained during the work. For this reason, the excavations will be carried out in three successive sections, as illustrated in the plan below.

  We would also like to point out that the usual main access to Eichplatz via Kollegiengasse will not be available during this period. However, the directly adjacent temporary access road can be used asan alternative to entering the parking lot .In addition, one of the tworamps leadingfrom the parking lot to the "Neue Mitte" willno longer be available. However, the second ramp is still available without restriction.

  The construction site installation, including the erection of construction fences, will begin on Friday, July 1, 2022. The legally required no parking signs for the affected areas will be posted from June 27, 2022 . The excavation work will generally be carried out Monday to Friday from 7 am to 4 pm.

Felsenkellerstraße

• Reason: New construction of a residential building
• Detail: The area can be passed on foot and by bike.

Forest road

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: At house number 35a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New construction of a residential building

Friedrich-Körner-Straße / Ernst-Pfeiffer-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 17.09.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: During the construction period (1st construction phase), Friedrich-Körner-Straße will be fully closed. ernst-Pfeiffer-Straße will then also be fully closed. A detour will be signposted. The area can be passed on foot.

Gerbergasse

• Type: Closure of residents' parking lot
• Start: 25.04.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation
• Details: Alternative residents' parking spaces have been set up in Wiesenstraße from the Am Saaleufer access road. These can be used immediately.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. There will be 3 construction phases. Construction phases 2 + 3 will not take place until 2023 . The area can be passed on foot.

Kochstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 4 to the junction with Forstweg
• Duration: until 28.10.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Access/exit to the daycare center and day clinic is possible from Westbahnhofstraße. The half-sided closure of Westbahnhofstraße will be temporarily ended. This means that road users can travel on Westbahnhofstraße again without restrictions.

Lobeda-Altstadt/ Neulobeda/ Drackendorf

• Type: temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 30.09.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Löbdergraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: Junction with Paradiesstraße to the level of Ludwig-Weimar-Gasse
• Duration: until 16.09.2022
• Reason: Laying of media (backbone network)
• Details: Commercial delivery traffic and regular services can travel along the construction site. Other traffic will be diverted via the adjacent road network.

New road surfaces

• Type: Temporary stopping restrictions and closures
• Locations: Am Jenzig, Am Hirschberge, Eichendorffweg, Feldstraße, Kirchstraße, Kötschauweg, Steingraben, Reinholdweg, Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, Weinbergstraße
• Duration: until 31.08.2022
• Reason: Repair of the surface course
• Details: Stopping restrictions are required to carry out the work in order to clean the surfaces and carry out minor maintenance work. The very thin-layered new road surfaces can be driven on approx. 20 minutes after installation. As soon as the new road surface is passable, traffic will be reopened. The prerequisite for a rapid construction process is that all road users comply with the no-stopping regulations. In the event that the weather does not permit paving, the construction work will be postponed.

Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: South access road to the level of the main access road to Stadtrodaer Straße
• Duration : 22.08. - 31.12.2022
• Fundamental expansion of the access road
  Expansion and widening of the main cycle path connection
• Detour: A designated detour route will be set up for cyclists heading into and out of the city. The cycle routes run via Wöllnitzer Straße and Burgauer Weg.
• Details: The work will take place from 22.08.2022 behind the southern access road to the stadium. From 29.08.2022, there will then be restrictions for bathers when accessing the Südbad/Schleichersee and beach bar as well as for adjacent sports facility users. The facilities will be accessible from the main stadium access road via a temporary footpath. This walkway can only be used on foot - cyclists must dismount.
  Guests of the Schleichersee and the adjacent sports facilities as well as the traffic school with cars can use the parking lot in the Oberaue directly next to the main access road. This is only not possible when FC Carl Zeiss Jena is playing at home. A planning board will be set up at the main entrance to Oberaue so that road users are informed.

Schlegelstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Corner of Drackendorfer Straße
• Location: Fiber optic work
• Duration: until 12.08.2022
• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. The restricted area must be driven around extensively. The construction site can be passed safely on foot and by bicycle.

Tieckstraße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: 15.08. to 16.09.2022
• Reason: Installation of telecommunication lines
• Details: A one-way street will be set up for this purpose. As the construction work will also affect the entire pavement, a temporary traffic-calmed area will be installed so that pedestrians and other road users will have to use it. Access to the adjacent apartment blocks will be made possible

Unterdorfstraße and Wöllnitzer Oberweg

• Type: Change to the one-way street layout due to full closure
• Location: Unterdorfstraße 2
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Construction work
• Details: The one-way street layout will be changed in the above-mentioned streets. In Unterdorfstraße, it will then be possible to drive out of the city and in Wöllnitzer Oberweg, it will be possible to drive into the city. Cyclists will be able to ride against the one-way street in Wöllnitzer Oberweg. Signage will be put up at the start of the construction work to raise road users' awareness.

Wenigenjenaer Ufer

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 17 b to the junction with Tümplingstraße
• Duration: until 30.09.2022
• Reason: Renewal of the combined sewer
• Details: The construction work will be divided into 2 construction phases. A detour will be signposted.
  • 2nd construction phase: House number 15-17 b
  • 1st construction phase: Tümplingstraße up to house number 15

Wiesenstraße

• Type: Temporary closure
• Location: Junction Am Anger up to the level of Wiesencenter
• Duration: until 16.09.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: From 25.07.2022 to 19.08.2022,the civil engineering work willcontinue in the direction of Am Anger Hnr. 22 will be continued. The pavement must be fully closed for this. Pedestrians will be guided past the construction site by means of detour signs.

  Motorized private traffic is also affected. There will be a left turn ban at the Am Anger / Lutherplatz junction. Road users wishing to turn left from Am Eisenbahndamm via Am Anger to Lutherplatz and on towards Fürstengraben will not be able to do so during the above-mentioned period. The reason for this is the removal of a lane. It will only be possible to go straight on in the direction of Am Anger or turn left in the direction of Wiesenstraße. Furthermore, a left-turn lane from Wiesenstraße in the direction of Am Anger will be converted into a straight-ahead/right-turn lane. This is necessary because the construction company needs room to carry out civil engineering work right next to it.

Ziegenhainer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 7a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New house construction
• Details: Properties in the direction of Burgweg can be reached via this road. The area can be passed on foot.
