Construction site report 18th week (02. - 08.05.2022)

Here is the current roadworks report for the 18th calendar week of 2022.

Unless otherwise stated, cyclists and passers-by will pass the roadworks.

New construction site

Haverie since 26.04.2022

Due to the commissioning of the elevated drinking water tank in Rautal, there have been burst pipes throughout the city. The following streets are affected:

Pedestrian tunnel under the Saalebahn

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: at the level of An der Brauerei
• Estimated duration: until 06.05.22
• Details: Diversion via Paradiesbahnhof or Mühlenstraße

Fischergasse

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: in the direction of Löbdergraben
• Estimated duration: until 13.05.22
• Details: Bypass via Am Eisenbahndamm. Detour is signposted.

Hufelandweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: in the direction of Dornburger Str. between Von-Hase-Weg and Thomas-Mann-Str.
• Probable duration: until 06.05.22

Naumburger Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: at the level of Joachim-Darjes-Str. (Netto-Markt)
• Estimated duration: until 06.05.22
• Details: Traffic routing by means of 3-sided traffic lights.

Nollendorfer Straße

• Type: Full closure
• Location: Hnr. 35 to the corner of Thomas-Mann-Str.
• expected duration: until 06.05.22
• Details: Bypass via Am Planetarium

Finished construction sites

Karl-Marx-Allee

• Pavement renewal has been completed.

Kollegiengasse

• Civil engineering works are finished.

Kunitzer Straße - Jenzigweg underpass

• The supply lines have been laid.

Traffic circle
Alexander-Puschkin-Platz

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 06.05.2022
• Reason: Reconstruction of the traffic circle
• Details: A detour will be signposted. It is advisable to drive around the restricted area.

Blochmannstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 17.06.2022
• Reason: Renewal of the supply lines
• Details: A detour will be set up on site.

Brändströmstraße and Gabelsbergerstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Gabelsbergerstraße and Brändströmstraße intersection area
• Duration: until 17.06.2022
• Reason: Renewal of the sewer pipes
• Details: Brändströmstraße Hnr. 13 to 20 - coming from Karl-Günther-Straße - will be signposted as a dead end. The lower part of Brändströmstraße is required as a storage area. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

"Bridge in front of the Neutor"

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 06.05.2022
• Reason: New construction of the bridge
• Traffic will be diverted as follows:
  • out of town via Erbertstraße - Ernst-Haeckel-Straße
  • into the city via Ernst-Haeckel-Straße - Schillerstraße - Teichgraben

• Details: The footpath below the railroad, which leads to Paradis, is currently open again. However, there may be temporary full closures as construction work continues.

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 12.07.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Dorfstraße (Jena Wogau)

• Type: Complete closure in 3 construction phases
• Duration: until 29.07.2022
• 1st construction phase: Dorfstraße between the Wilhelm-Hauff-Weg / Dorfstraße / Im Tiefen Weg intersection
• 2nd construction phase: Dorfstraße in the area of the fork in Tiefen Weg
• 3rd construction phase: Dorfstraße from B7 to the junction with Im Tiefen Weg
• Details: Pedestrians can pass the closures safely.

Dornburger Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from the junction with Friedrich-Wolf-Straße to the junction with An der Eule
• Duration: until 30.06.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: A detour will be signposted. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Gerbergasse

• Type: Closure of residents' parking lot
• Start: 25.04.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation
• Details: Alternative residents' parking spaces have been set up in Wiesenstraße from the Am Saaleufer access road. These can be used immediately.

Hornstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Start: until 13.05.2022
• Reason: Work on the road and footpath
• Details: Pedestrians have a sidewalk available for safe passage.

Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 34 - 44
• Duration: 06.05.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Pedestrians will be diverted to the opposite sidewalk

Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Start: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists will be signposted.

Schützenhofstraße

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: House number 74-78
• Duration: until 01.07.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent apartment block
• Details: Pedestrians can pass safely.

Ziegenhainer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 7a
• Start: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New house construction
• Details: Access to adjacent properties towards Burgweg is possible. Passers-by can pass the construction site.

Bachstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Height Hnr. 39
• Start: 01.05.2022, 8:00 - 14:00 hrs
• Reason: DGB rally
• Details: Johannisplatz will also be closed until the junction with Leutragraben.Pedestrians can safely passthe closed area.

Sophienstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Junction with Käthe-Kollwitz-Straße to junction with Theo-Neubauer-Straße
• Duration: 01.05.2022, 10:00 - 17:00 hrs
• Reason: Street festival
• Details: The intersection ofArvid-Harnack-Straße is excluded from the closure in west-east direction. The St.-Jakob-Straße intersection will also be closed and secured with barrier beacons and barriers. Vehicles entering and exiting the cul-de-sac in St.-Jakob-Straße will be allowed to enter and exit .Pedestrians can safely pass throughtherestrictedarea.

Stadtrodaer Straße

• Type: Closure
• Location: between Seidelplatz and the Wöllnitz junction
• Duration: 01.05.2022, 7:00 am - 6:00 pm
• Reason: 32nd Duathlon
• Details: Motorized traffic will be diverted past the event. There will be one lane each for inbound and outbound traffic.

Changes to the one-way traffic routing in Unterdorfstraße and Wöllnitzer Oberweg

• Type: Full closure
• Location: Unterdorfstraße 2
• Duration: 16.05. - 31.12.2022
• Reason: Construction work
• Details: The one-way street layout will be changed in the above-mentioned streets. In Unterdorfstraße, it will then be possible to drive out of the city and in Wöllnitzer Oberweg, it will be possible to drive into the city. Cyclists will be able to ride against the one-way street in Wöllnitzer Oberweg. Signs will be put up at the start of the project to make road users aware of the situation.
