Construction site report 26th week (27.06. - 03.07.2022)

Here is the current roadworks report for the 26th calendar week of 2022.

Unless otherwise stated, cyclists and pedestrians will pass the roadworks.

New construction site

Eichplatz (parking lot)

• Type: Partial closure
• Duration: 04.07. - 04.12.2022
• Reason: Carrying out archaeological investigations in the run-up to the development of construction site A
• Details: In order to be able to carry out the work professionally, restrictions on the parking lotare unavoidablefor a period of approx. five months. However, high priority will be given to ensuring that as many parking spaces and pathways as possible are maintained during the work. The excavations will therefore be carried out in
  three consecutive sections, as shown in the plan below.

  We would also like to point out that the usual main access to Eichplatz via Kollegiengasse
  will not be available during this period. However, as an alternative to entering the parking lot
  the directly adjacent temporary access road can be used. In addition, one of the two access roads from the parking lot to the
  ramps leading from the parking lot to the "Neue Mitte". However, the second one is still available without restriction.

  The construction site installation, including the erection of the construction fence, will begin on Friday, July 1, 2022. The legally required no parking signs for the affected areas will be posted from June 27, 2022 . The excavation work will generally be carried out Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Löbichauer Straße / Karl-Liebknecht-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location House number 7a
• Duration: 27.06. - 05.08.2022
• Details: Stadtwerke Jena Netze GmbH is renewing the gas pipeline from the Gembdenbach gas pressure regulator station to the footpath in the area of the glass containers in Löbichauer Straße. For this purpose, LöbichauerStraße will be fully closed in the area of the glass containers from 27.06.2022 to 15.07.2022. Traffic will be diverted via Am Steinborn. From 18.07.2022, Karl-Liebknecht-Straße will thenbe closed on one side for 3 weeks until probably 05.08.2022. A traffic-dependent construction site traffic light will regulate traffic during this time.

Max-Gräfe-Gasse

• Type: Full closure
• Location: Corner of Kreuzgasse 2
• Duration: 28.06. - 01.07.2022
• Reason: Demolition of a building complex
• Details: A wide detour via Jägerbergstraße or Florian-Geyer-Weg is required.

Otto-Schott-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 42
• Duration: 27.06. - 15.07.2022
• Reason: Renewal/separation of house connections
• Details: The detour is via Magdelstieg.

Rautal

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At the Jena town entrance sign to the height of the new elevated tank
• Duration: 27.06. - 22.07.2022
• Reason: Surface course work
• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.

Ricarda-Huch-Weg

• The drinking water shut-off valve has been replaced.

Thomas-Mann-Straße

• Crane work is finished.

Bibliotheksweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from Bibliotheksplatz to the junction with Sophienstraße
• Duration: until 15.07.2022
• Reason: Laying of gas pipes
• Details: Access to the underground parking garage "Am Planetarium 4" and to the delivery ramp of the ThULB will be guaranteed.

Blochmannstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 01.07.2022
• Reason: Renewal of the supply lines
• Details: A detour has been set up on site.

Brändströmstraße and Gabelsbergerstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Gabelsbergerstraße and Brändströmstraße intersection area
• Duration: until 01.07.2022
• Reason: Renewal of the sewer pipes
• Details: Brändströmstraße Hnr. 13 to 20 - coming from Karl-Günther-Straße - is signposted as a dead end. The lower part of Brändströmstraße is required as a storage area. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Brückenstraße

• Type: Temporary closure
• Location: At Audi car dealership
• Duration: until 29.07.2022
• Reason: New road construction
• Details: The new road to be built will serve as a connection to the Drösel residential area. This may cause temporary obstructions.

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 12.07.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Dorfstraße (Jena Wogau)

• Type: Complete closure in 3 construction phases
• Duration: until 29.07.2022
• 1st construction phase: Dorfstraße between the Wilhelm-Hauff-Weg / Dorfstraße / Im Tiefen Weg intersection
• 2nd construction phase: Dorfstraße in the area of the fork in Tiefen Weg
• 3rd construction phase: Dorfstraße from B7 to the junction with Im Tiefen Weg
• Details: Pedestrians can safely pass the closures.

Dornburger Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: from the junction with Friedrich-Wolf-Straße to the junction with An der Eule
• Duration: until 30.06.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: A detour is signposted. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Felsenkellerstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 9 -11
• Duration: until 19.08.2022
• Reason: extensive construction work
• Details: A detour is signposted. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Gerbergasse

• Type: Closure of residents' parking lot
• Start: 25.04.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation
• Details: Alternative residents' parking spaces have been set up in Wiesenstraße from the Am Saaleufer access road. These can be used immediately.

Kritzegraben

• Type: Complete closure
• Locations: At house number 3
• Duration: until 22.07.2022
• Reason: Crane installation
• Details: The wide detour to and from the city center is via Hufelandweg and Fürstengraben. Cyclists and pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Kochstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 4 to the junction with Forstweg
• Duration: until 31.07.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Access to the daycare center and day clinic is possible from Westbahnhofstraße

Lobeda old town - Neulobeda - Drackendorf

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 30.09.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

New road surfaces

• Type: Temporary stopping restrictions and closures
• Locations: Am Jenzig, Am Hirschberge, Eichendorffweg, Feldstraße, Kirchstraße, Kötschauweg, Steingraben, Reinholdweg, Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, Weinbergstraße
• Duration: until 31.08.2022
• Reason: Repair of the surface course
• Details: Stopping restrictions are required to carry out the work in order to clean the surfaces and carry out minor maintenance work. The very thin-layered new road surfaces can be driven on approx. 20 minutes after installation. As soon as the new road surface is passable, traffic will be reopened. The prerequisite for a rapid construction process is that all road users comply with the no-stopping regulations. In the event that the weather does not permit paving, the construction work will be postponed.

Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

east Löbdergraben

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: between Lutherplatz and Saalstraße in the southbound direction
• Start: 20.06.2022
• Reason: Construction of the backbone network for the new university campus
• Details: The pavement in this area must be fully closed. Pedestrian/cycle traffic will be guided safely along the construction site

Saalbahnhofstraße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: between Gerbergasse and Lutherplatz in a southerly direction
• Duration: until 02.07.2022
• Reason: Track repairs
• Details: Traffic will only flow in the direction of Damenvirtel.

Schützenhofstraße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 74-78
• Duration: until 01.07.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent apartment block
• Details: Pedestrians can pass safely.

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. A wide detour must be taken around the closed area. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Change to the one-way street layout in Unterdorfstraße and Wöllnitzer Oberweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Unterdorfstraße 2
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Construction work
• Details: The one-way street layout will be changed in the above-mentioned streets. In Unterdorfstraße, it will then be possible to drive out of the city and in Wöllnitzer Oberweg, it will be possible to drive into the city. Cyclists will be able to ride against the one-way traffic in Wöllnitzer Oberweg. Signage will be erected at the start of the construction work to raise road users' awareness.

Ziegenhainer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Place: House number House number 7a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New house construction
• Details: Access to adjacent properties towards Burgweg is possible. Passers-by can pass the construction site.
