Construction site report for the 28th calendar week of 2019

• Ilmstraße, full closure at the level of the company Feintool System Parts Jena GmbH, reason: securing crane work, July 9, 7:30 a.m. to around 2:00 p.m.
  Local detour
• Lutherplatz, narrowing (closure of the right-hand lane from Angerkreuzung to Saalbahnhofstraße), reason: laying of water pipe, July 8 to August 9
  • As planned, the Am Anger road between the Anger junction and K.-Kollwitz-Straße will be closed to vehicle traffic from Friday, 19.07.2019 until Monday, 22.07.2019. It is recommended to drive around the construction area on this weekend via K.-Kollwitz-Straße and Bibliotheksplatz.
  • The parking lot at Lutherplatz 3 opposite Hotel Schwarzer Bär cannot be used by residents during the entire construction period. It is recommended to use the parking spaces on the east side of the street Am Anger between Steinweg and Angerkreuzung.
• Am Kieshügel 17, full closure, reason: laying of water pipe, concrete deliveries, July 12 to 19
  Local detour
• Merseburger Straße, full closure, reason: dismantling of a tower crane, July 11 to 12
  The road can also be accessed from Zeitzer Straße during the closure period.
• Nollendorfer Straße, one-way closure from Am Planetarium in the direction of Nollendorfer Platz, reason: replacement of a guyed mast for the streetcar overhead line, July 8 to 12
  From Nollendorfer Straße it is only possible to turn left into Dornburger Straße. The sidewalk on the south side of Nollendorfer Straße between Am Planetarium and Dornburger Straße is also closed. Pedestrians will be guided via Theo-Neubauer Straße.
• Teichgraben, full closure, reason: laying of drinking water pipe, July 8 to August 16
  • Replacement bus stops: In the Grietgasse area immediately east of Neugasse and between Am Volksbad and Paradiesstraße (wooden platform on the parking lane)
  • Bus route 16 will be routed from Holzmarkt via Nonnenplan and Kollegiengasse to Leutragraben.
  • The traffic lights in the Engelplatz area will be adjusted by KSJ.

• Bernhard-Schultze-Straße, full closure between Am Steinborn and the junction with Julius-Schaxel-Straße, reason: civil engineering work on supply lines, until August 27
• Camburger Straße, half-sided closure, reason: laying of gas pipes, until mid-July
  During the construction period, traffic in the direction of the city center will remain on Camburger Straße. Northbound traffic will return to Camburger Straße via Spitzweidenweg and Scharnhorststraße.
• Camsdorfer Ufer 9, half-sided closure, reason: storage of containers, until July 12
• Am Eisenbahndamm, narrowing of the road, reason: laying of a drinking water pipe through the railroad embankment between Landveste and Straße am Eisenbahndamm, until July 26
  During the construction work, the cycle/walking path will be closed in the area of the construction site at Landveste and rerouted in the area of Landveste. There will also be a temporary narrowing of the road Am Eisenbahndamm, particularly at times when traffic is lighter, as one of the two left-turn lanes in the direction of Paradiesbrücke (Stadtrodaer Straße) will have to be shortened slightly.
• Engelplatz, closure of the parking lot, reason: preparation and implementation of the Kulturarena, until 28 August
• Hufelandweg, sectional closure between Am Nordfriedhof 7 and Thomas-Mann-Straße, reason: laying of new gas and house connection pipes, until September 30
  Detour via Ricarda-Huch-Weg to Philosophenweg and Kritzegraben.
• Hugo-Schrade-Straße 55, closure, reason: laying of district heating pipes, until August 9
  Detour via Bertolt-Brecht-Straße and Schrödingerstraße
• Lutherplatz/ Inselplatz, closure of approx. 1/3 of the parking lot, reason: archaeological excavations, until September 20
• Marktstraße in Lobeda-Altstadt, sectional closure, reason: expansion of Marktstraße between Marktplatz and Nikolaus-Theiner-Straße and further via Lobdeburgweg between Stadtgraben and Spitzbergstraße, until September 27
• Max-Wien-Platz, traffic restrictions in the area where Kritzegraben joins Philosophenweg, reason: development of the property at Am Philosophenweg 26, until the end of July
  A construction site traffic light regulates the traffic.
• Mittelstraße, full closure, reason: renewal of the sewer between Otto-Schott-Straße and Kronfeldstraße, until August 30
  It is possible to drive around the construction site via the adjacent roads.
• Naumburger Straße / Rautal, full closure, reason: expansion of Naumburger Straße between Camburger Straße and Flurweg
  • The large-scale detour is via Brückenstraße - Wiesenstraße - Am Anger and back.
  • Despite the barriers in Brückenstraße: Please do not try to drive through the residential area! Public and school buses drive through the small streets. "Creeping traffic" would massively obstruct local traffic there. In addition, the sidewalks are partially separated from the carriageway - the safety of school routes has top priority.

• Rautalstraße, full closure, reason: laying of new drinking water pipes between Kuithanstraße and Ottogerd-Mühlmann-Straße
  • Detour via Kuithanstraße, Zitzmann-Straße, Straße and Ottogerd-Mühlmann-Straße or G.-Neumann-Straße.
  • In the fall of this year, this new drinking water pipeline in Rautal will be laid further to the end of Jena in the direction of Closewitz.
• Schrödingerstraße 8-18, one-sided closure, reason: renovation work on the adjacent building, until November 8
• Stifterstraße, complete closure, reason: laying of a new drinking water pipe, until July 31
• Westbahnhofstraße 2a to 6a, half-sided closure in the area of the retaining wall, reason: retaining wall renovation, until September 29
  If there is a traffic jam into the city, the construction site can be bypassed via Rathenaustraße - Curt-Unckel-Straße - Hainstraße and An der Brauerei.
