Construction site report for the 38th calendar week of 2019 (September 16 - 22)

  • Hufelandweg
    A district heating pipe was laid in Hufelandweg directly next to the pedestrian crossing to Nordschule between 02.09.2019 and 13.09.2019. Hufelandweg was closed on one side for this purpose.
  • Complete closure of Friesweg
    From 12.09.2019 to 13.09.2019, Friesweg was closed to vehicle traffic at house no. 4. A sewage pipe was replaced during the closure period.
  • Total closure Am Steiger 14
    From 09.09.2019 to 13.09.2019, a complete closure was implemented in the above-mentioned area.

  • Half-sided closure of Stadtrodaer Straße
    From 16.09.2019 to 30.05.2020, another access road to the stadium site will be created from Stadtrodaer Straße. This new access road is located to the south of the current stadium access road, approximately at the level of the Saale cycle path crossing over the streetcar tracks. In order to create this new access road, it will be necessary to close one side of Stadtrodaer Straße in this new access area several times during the above-mentioned period. The Saale cycle path will also be closed in this area.

    Detour for motorists: It is planned to route traffic via the opposite directional lane during these periods. The necessary crossings across the central reservation of Stadtrodaer Straße have already been constructed.

    Cyclist detour: A new detour will be set up at short notice. It will be in both directions via Unterdorfstraße near Wöllnitz, Wöllnitzer Straße, Am Stadion to the Saale cycle path at the entrance to the stadium. The traffic light regulations at the crossings of Stadtrodaer Straße will also be adjusted.

  • Closure of Schrödingerstraße
    From 16.09.2019 to 18.10.2019, Schrödingerstraße will be closed between B.-Brecht-Straße and Hugo-Schrade-Straße in order to renew the road surface. The closure will take place in two construction phases in order to preserve as many parking spaces as possible.

    Detour: During the closure period, traffic will be diverted via Hugo-Schrade-Straße; the detour will be signposted.

  • Closure Am Kieshügel
    From 16.09.2019 to 27.09. 2019, Am Kieshügel will be closed to vehicle traffic. The closure is necessary in order to lay service pipes in the roadway.

    Detour: Traffic will be diverted locally. The detour will be signposted.

  • Half-sided lane closure Leutragraben 4
    On 18.09.2019 and 19.09.2019 - between 09:00 and 17:00 - work will be carried out on the building by means of crane assembly. This will make it necessary to close one side of Leutragraben.

    Detour: The half-sided closure will berealized by means of one-way street regulation.During this time, Leutragraben will become a one-way street from Kollegiengasse to Teichgraben. Two-way traffic will be diverted via Teichgraben, Nonnenplan and Kollegiengasse.

  • Half-sided closure of Löbdergraben (at house number 1)
    Due to renovation work at the bus stop, one side of the road will be closed from 12.09.2019 to 04.10.2019.

    Detour: The half-sided closure will be realized by means of one-way street regulation in the direction of Teichgraben. Road users who want to drive in the direction of Löbdergraben must bypass the roadworks via Holzmarkt and Grietgasse or Knebelstraße.
  • Complete closure of Magdelstieg and Tatzendpromenade
    On 15.07.2019, construction work began on the fundamental renewal of the Magdelstieg from G.-Fischer-Straße to Tatzendpromenade and the Tatzendpromenade from Magdelstieg to Lichtenhainer Straße. The work will last until June 2020, which is why the construction project is being divided into two construction phases.

    Detour: For the first construction phase between G.-Fischer-Straße and B.-Koch-Platz,there will be a wide detour via Kahlaische Straße, Ernst-Haeckel-Straße and Westbahnhofstraße in both directions. Local detours around the roadworks are possible via Otto-Schott-Straße or Fritz-Reuter-Straße and Döbereinerstraße.

  • Closure of Naumburger Straße / Rautal
    Currently, Naumburger Straße between Camburger Straße and Flurweg is being upgraded.

    Detour: The large-scale detour is via Brückenstraße - Wiesenstraße - Am Anger and back. There is also a detour for bus traffic and vehicles up to 3.5 tons. This runs via the following route: Flurweg - Schreckenbachweg - Rautal - Erich-Kuithan-Straße - Zitzmannstraße - Naumburger Straße and back.

  • Partial closure of Schrödingerstraße 8-18 (will be temporarily lifted during the road surface renovation).

    Due to renovation work on the adjacent building, the road is closed on one side until 08.11.2019.

  • Eichplatz parking lot
    Due to the Old Town Festival, the parking lot will remain closed until 23.09.2019.
  • Lutherplatz parking lot
    From 21.05.2019 to 20.09.2019, archaeological excavations will be carried out in the Lutherplatz / Inselplatz parking lot. During this time, around 1/3 of the parking lot will be closed for parking.
  • Westbahnhofstraße between house numbers 2a and 6a
    In the course of the retaining wall renovation, it will be necessary to close one side of the retaining wall. The closure is planned for the period from 17.06.2019 to 29.09.2019.

    Detour: If the construction work causes traffic jams for traffic heading into the city, the construction site can be bypassed via Rathenaustraße - Curt-Unckel-Straße - Hainstraße and An der Brauerei.

  • Hufelandweg
    Sectional closure of Hufelandweg between Am Nordfriedhof 7 and Thomas-Mann-Straße from 24.06.2019 to 20.09.2019. A new gas pipeline including service pipes is to be laid in the lane leading to Thomas-Mann-Straße.

    The detour will be via Ricarda-Huch-Weg to Philosophenweg and Kritzegraben.

  • Half-sided closure of Camburger Straße
    Since 19.08.2019, one side of Camburger Straße has been closed between Leipziger Straße and Scharnhorststraße.

    Detour: Vehicle traffic in the direction of the city center is being diverted via Dornburger Straße and Scharnhorststraße. The traffic lights have been adapted to the new traffic routing as far as possible. However, traffic obstructions are to be expected. A 400 TW cable is being laid. The construction work began on 05.08.2019 and will end at the end of 2019.

    Important note for the fall vacations: During the autumn vacations - from 07.10.2019 to 19.10.2019 - the intersection ofCamburgerStraße and Scharnhorststraße will be fully closed for the rebinding work at the intersection with Scharnhorststraße. Street / Scharnhorststraße will be necessary. Traffic will then have to be diverted via Dornburger Straße and Nollendorfer Platz in both directions.

  • Complete closure of Rautal
    The Rautal road will be closed to vehicle traffic from 19.08.2019 to 27.09.2019, including the Closewitzer Straße junction up to the entrance to Jena from the direction of Closewitz. The junction of Rautal and Closewitzer Straße will be open to vehicle traffic again from 27/09/2019.
    Rautalstraße from Closewitzer Straße to the entrance to Jena from the direction of Closewitz will remain closed until 29.11.2019.The closure is necessaryto install a new drinking water pipe and to completely renew the road surface in the construction area.
  • Complete closure of Stadtrodaer Straße
    Stadtrodaer Straße will be fully closed between 24.09.19, 9:00 am and 27.09.2019, 6:00 pm for the dismantling of the formwork, main bridge inspection and installation of the lighting. The detour will be signposted.
