Here is the current roadworks report for the 51st calendar week of 2022.

Unless otherwise stated, you can walk or cycle past the construction sites.

FINISHED CONSTRUCTION SITES

Erlanger Allee / Carolinenstraße

• Construction work at the terminus is finished.

Fürstengraben

• Media has been laid.

Eastern Löbdergraben

• Demolition work has been completed.

NEW CONSTRUCTION SITES / CLOSURES

EXISTING CONSTRUCTION SITES

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location House number 34
• Duration: until 13.01.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Forest road

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: At house number 35a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New construction of a residential building

Gerbergasse

• Type: Closure of residents' parking lot
• Start: 25.04.2022
• Reason: Construction site installation
• Details: Alternative residents' parking spaces have been set up in Wiesenstraße from the Am Saaleufer access road. These can be used immediately.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: The construction site can be passed on foot. There will be 3 construction phases.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 1-6
• Duration: until 28.02.2023
• Reason: Laying of district heating pipe
• Details: The area can be passed on foot and by bike
• Addition: During the winter break (start 19.12.2022 - end not yet known), Lessingstraße will be passable by means of one-way street regulation!

Lobeda-Altstadt - Neulobeda - Drackendorf

• Type: Restrictions
• Duration: until approx. 31.12.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Max-Gräfe-Gasse

• Type: Partial closure
• Location: Corner of Kreuzgasse
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for house conversion
• Details: The construction site can be passed on foot and by bike

Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 31.03.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

Oberaue from the southern access road to the main access road at Stadtrodaer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 21.12.2022
• Reason: Fundamental expansion of the access road, expansion and widening of the main cycle path connection
• Detour: A designated detour route will be set up for cyclists heading into and out of the city. The cycle routes run via Wöllnitzer Straße and Burgauer Weg.
• There will be restrictions on access toµ Südbad/Schleichersee, the beach bar and the adjacent sports facilities: The facilities will be accessible from the main stadium access road via a temporary footpath. This footpath can only be used on foot - cyclists must dismount.
  Guests of the Schleichersee and the adjacent sports facilities as well as the traffic school with cars can use the parking lot in the Oberaue directly next to the main access road. This is only not possible when FC Carl Zeiss Jena is playing at home. A planning board will be set up at the main entrance to the Oberaue so that road users are informed.

Stadtrodaer Straße

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Duration: until 13.01.2023
• Location: Between Goldberg tunnel and Bäckergasse traffic lights
• Reason: Construction of the cycle bypass

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Full closure
• Place: House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. The restricted area must be driven around extensively. The construction site can be safely passed on foot and by bike.

Wöllnitz and Ammerbach

• Type: temporary restrictions
• Duration: until approx. 28.02.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Change to the one-way street layout in Unterdorfstraße and Wöllnitzer Oberweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Unterdorfstraße 2
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: Construction work
• Details: The one-way street layout will be changed in the above-mentioned streets. In Unterdorfstraße, it will then be possible to drive out of the city and in Wöllnitzer Oberweg, it will be possible to drive into the city. Cyclists will be able to ride against the one-way street in Wöllnitzer Oberweg. Signage will be erected at the start of the construction work to raise awareness among road users.

Ziegenhainer Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Place: House number House number 7a
• Duration: until 31.12.2022
• Reason: New house construction
• Details: Properties in the direction of Burgweg can be reached via this road. The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

To the Ziskauer valley (Lützeroda)

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 28.04.2023
• Reason : Civil engineering works (sewage; drinking water)
• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.
