NEW CONSTRUCTION SITES / ROAD CLOSURES

Carl-Zeiss-Promenade

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: At bridge height
• Duration: 17.04.2023 to 19.05.2023
• Reason: Media relocation
• Details: Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Erlanger Allee (bus stop Uni-Klinikum out of town)

• Type: Closure on one side
• Duration: 17.04.2023 to 16.06.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the bus stop
• Details: The replacement stop will be located in the immediate vicinity. Traffic jams are to be expected as there is a lane narrowing. Pedestrians and cyclists can pass the construction site safely.

Fiber optic cable expansion in Laasan

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: 17.04.2023 to 16.06.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the bus stop
• Details: Due to the fiber optic cable laying commissioned by Deutsche Telekom, half-sided road closures and local full closures must be expected.

Schrödingerstraße

• Type: Complete road closure
• Location: At house number 49-55
• Duration: 17.04.2023 to 28.04.2023
• Reason: Height adjustment of six manhole covers
• Details: The accessibility of the neighboring properties will be regulated by mutual agreement.

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 34

• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is mandatory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Carl-Zeiss-Promenade

• Location: Level with the university of applied sciences

• Reason: Electrical connection for a billboard

Drackendorf

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 28.04.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable

Dammstraße

• Location: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße (1st construction phase)
• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 30.05.2024
• Reason: Line and traffic system renewal
• Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße
2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

Erlanger Allee - cycle path connection between Lobeda-Ost and Lobeda-West

• Type: Closure of sections and path connections
• Location: between Theobald-Renner-Str. and Kastanienstraße junction and in the opposite direction
• Duration: until 29.02.2024
• Reason: Construction of a cycle path connection
• Details: In the first construction phase, the carriageway will be closed on one side and the pedestrian crossing at Platanenstraße to Paul-Schneider-Straße will be fully closed.

Ernst-Pfeiffer-Straße

• Type: Full closure
• Location:between Friedrich-Körner-Straße and Lichtenhainer Oberweg
• Duration: until mid-August 2023
• Reason: Replacement of the drinking water pipes

Gotthard-Neumann-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 21.04.2023
• Reason: Work on the district heating pipeline
• Details: Pedestrians can safely pass the construction site.

Johannisstraße

• Type: Restrictions
• Location: Junction with Jenergasse to Johannisstaße 17
• Duration: until 05.05.2023
• Reason: Media relocation
• Details: Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. Cyclists must dismount during the construction period.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Entrance to local traffic to Göschwitzer Straße junction (Fiebig car dealership)
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: The construction site can be passed on foot.

Sidewalk Kahlaische Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At Kotschauweg 2
• Duration: until 21.04.2023
• Reason: Work on the retaining wall
• Details: Pedestrians must avoid the sidewalk on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00 via Burgauer Weg.

Keßlerstraße

• Type: temporary lane closure
• Location: At petrol station
• Duration: until 23.04.2023
• Reason: Work on the track system
• Details: Only road users traveling from the Göschwitz industrial estate towards the Burgau junction are affected by this closure. Traffic jams are to be expected. Only heavy goods vehicles will not be able to turn right towards Stadtrodaer Straße in the first construction phase and will therefore bedivertedto the left towards Rudolstädter Straße. Furthermore, a planning board will be installed in the Göschwitz industrial estate to alert heavy goods vehicles to the traffic jam . For this reason, the roadworks area should be avoided as far as possible. As the work will only be carried out on the road, pedestrians andcyclists will be able to pass the construction site safely.

Lessingstrasse

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 26.05.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: During the construction period, Lessingstraße cannot be accessed from the direction of Am Steiger. Fröbelstieg can only be accessed from the direction of Philosophenweg.

Lindenhöhe

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 05.05.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The construction site can be safely passed on foot.

2x Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

• Type: Closure of partial areas
• Location: From the main stadium access road to Roland-Ducke-Weg
• Duration: until 04.08.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the road and ancillary facilities
• Details: Access to the Oberaue will always be possible. In the first construction phase, work is currently underway from the main stadium access road to just before the Roland-Ducke-Weg junction. The construction site can be passed, but obstructions are to be expected. Cyclists can bypass the construction site safely and quickly. A detour has been set up and signposted for this purpose.
• In the 2nd construction phase from 24.04.2023, the main access road to the stadium will be closed on one side. Traffic will be guided alternately by a mobile traffic light system.

Spitzweidenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: from the junction with Scharnhorststraße to the old goods station
• Duration: until 28.04.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Traffic will be guided past the construction site by means of one-way traffic control (direction of travel into the city). Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely.

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. The restricted area must be driven around extensively. The construction site can be safely passed on foot and by bike.

To the Ziskauer Valley (Lützeroda)

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 27.10.2023
• Reason : Civil engineering works (sewage; drinking water)
• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.

ANNOUNCEMENT

Ernst-Haeckel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: 24.04.2023 to 30.06.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the sewer
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Knebelstraße/ Am Eisenbahndamm or via Magdelstieg/ Tatzendpromenade.

Access to Gemdental

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Access to the Gemdental road (Gemdental / Am Jenzig / Am Erlkönig intersection)
• Duration: 24.04.2023 to 09.06.2023
• Reason: Development of the local heating network for the "Erlenhöfe" residential area
• Details: Residents can reach Gemdental street via Karl-Liebknecht-Straße and an additional path to Am Jenzig street will be upgraded. A detour for the church cycle path will be signposted.
