FINISHED CONSTRUCTION SITES

Am Anger

• Laying of the medium-voltage cables is complete.

Erlanger Allee (bus stop Uni-Klinikum out of town)

• The bus stop has been renewed.

Isserstedter Straße (Lützeroda)

• Fiber optic cable expansion is postponed indefinitely.

Keßlerstraße

• Civil engineering work has been completed.

Naumburger Straße

• Work on the track infrastructure has been completed.

Thuringia Cup final

• Event is finished.

Ziegenhain

• Fiber optic cable expansion postponed indefinitely.

NEW CONSTRUCTION SITES / CLOSURES

Carl-Zeiß-Promenade

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: Height of ZI Jena GmbH (rear of building Moritz-von-Rohr-Str. 4)
• Duration: 05.06.2023 to 08.06.2023
• Reason: Scaffolding work
• Details: The sidewalk is included in the closure. Pedestrians must change sidewalk side.

Damaschkeweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 55
• Duration: 05.06.2023 to 14.07.2023
• Reason: Sewer construction work
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Jenzigweg

• Type: Closure on one side
• Location: Height Hasunummer 34 + 35
• Duration: 05.06.2023 to 15.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of the sewage connections
• Details: The connections must be made in the middle of the main road. Traffic will be guided by means of two-way traffic lights. Increased traffic obstructions are expected.

Löbdergraben

• Type: Full closure of the southbound lanes between Fürstengraben and Saalstraße
• Duration: 06.06.2023 to 14.06.2023
• Reason: Replacement of the drinking water pipe
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Lutherplatz/ Am Eisenbahndamm. Pedestrians will be directed to the other side of the sidewalk at the adjacent pedestrian signals

2x Magdelstieg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between house numbers 143 and 151
• Duration: 06.06.2023 to 14.06.2023, in the period from 8:00 - 17:30
• Reason: Replacement of the drinking water pipe
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot and by bike

• Type: Complete closure
• Place: House number 129 a
• Duration: 05.06.2023 to 06.06.2023
• Reason: Work on the gas pipeline
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot and by bike.

Stadtrodaer Straße (towards the city center)

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Location: At the level of the Seidel parking lot
• Duration: 05.06.2023 to 06.06.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the speed measuring station

Oberaue stadium access road

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: 08.06.2023, in the period from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
• Details: In preparation for the Paradise Triathlon, the main access road will be fully closed to carry out the asphalt leveling.

EXISTING ROADWORKS

At the Erlkönig

• Type: Temporary closures of the verge and carriageway area
• Duration: until 31.07.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: The cycle path connection in the direction of Kunitz remains passable, but special care is required due to partial closures in the edge and carriageway area of the cycle path.

Buchenweg

• Type: Partial closure
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Drackendorf

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 30.06.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Dammstraße

• Location: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße (1st construction phase)
• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 30.05.2024
• Reason: Line and traffic system renewal
• Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße
2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

Erlanger Allee - cycle path connection between Lobeda-Ost and Lobeda-West

• Type: Closure of sections and path connections
• Location: between Theobald-Renner-Str. and Kastanienstraße junction and in the opposite direction
• Duration: until 29.02.2024
• Reason: Construction of a cycle path connection
• Details: In the first construction phase, the carriageway will be closed on one side and the pedestrian crossing at Platanenstraße to Paul-Schneider-Straße will be fully closed.

Ernst-Haeckel-Straße

• Type: Full closure
• Duration: until 15.07.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the sewer
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Knebelstraße/ Am Eisenbahndamm or via Magdelstieg/ Tatzendpromenade.

Sidewalk closure from Lutherplatz/ corner Saalbahnhofstraße to Dornburger Str. 52

• Duration: until 14.07.2023
• Reason: Installation/conversion of catenary masts
• Details: For the most part, pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. If the pavement is completely closed, pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted accordingly. The construction work will begin on 02.05.2023 at Lutherplatz / corner of Saalbahnhofstraße and end on 14.07.2023 at Dornburger Straße 52.

Johannisstraße

• Type: Partial closure of the sidewalk
• Location: Jenergasse junction and Johannisstraße 20
• Duration: until approx. 15.06.2023
• Reason: Continuation of the civil engineering works
• Details: The road width in Johannisstraße will be significantly restricted in the area mentioned, but pedestrians can pass through the area. Cyclists are requested to dismount and push past the construction site.

  Access to the stores and restaurants in this area will remain guaranteed, but outdoor catering will not be possible. This construction phase is expected to be completed by mid-June. Work will then continue in the area between Jenergasse and Weigelstrasse with the relocation of a drinking water pipe.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: The construction site can be passed on foot.

Kunitz

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 14.07.2023 (expected)
• Reason: Continuation of civil engineering work for fiber optic expansion
• Details: There will be restrictions in the areas of Laasaner Oberweg, Blumenröschenweg, Unter dem Heuhm, Hinter dem Spielberge, Am Mönchsberge, Am Wiesenbach and Am Spielberg.

Laasan

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 16.06.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: Due to the laying of fiber optic cables commissioned by Deutsche Telekom, half-sided road closures and local full closures must be expected.

Lessingstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 07.06.2023
• Reason: Road surface renovation
• Details: Lessingstraße can be driven on from Philosophenweg to the Friedrich Schiller University construction site without turning. From the direction of Am Steiger, Lessingstraße is not passable. Furthermore, residents of Fröbelstieg are requested to access their properties via Helmholtzweg.

Lobeda East and Illmnitz

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Lützeroda

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 17.07.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

2x Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

• Type: Closure of partial areas
• Location: From the main stadium access road to Roland-Ducke-Weg
• Duration: until 04.08.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the road and ancillary facilities
• Details: Access to the Oberaue will always be possible. In the first construction phase, work is currently underway from the main stadium access road to just before the Roland-Ducke-Weg junction. The construction site can be passed, but obstructions are to be expected. Cyclists can bypass the construction site safely and quickly. A detour has been set up and signposted for this purpose.
• In the 2nd construction phase from 24.04.2023, the main access road to the stadium will be closed on one side. Traffic will be guided alternately by a mobile traffic light system.

Schützenhofstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At the junction with Munketal
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Accident
• Details: Traffic will be diverted. From 04.05.2023, the buses of line 15 of the Jenaer Nahverkehrs will run via the northern Schützenhofstraße. Delays are to be expected along the route. In addition, you are urgently requested not to park cars in Schützenhofstraße so as not to obstruct bus traffic.

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Type: Complete closure
• Place: House number House number 4
• Duration: until 30.06.2023
• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. The restricted area must be driven around extensively. The construction site can be passed safely on foot and by bike.

Wöllnitz

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Access to the Gemdental

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Access to the Gemdental road (Gemdental / Am Jenzig / Am Erlkönig intersection)
• Duration: until 09.06.2023
• Reason: Development of the local heating network for the "Erlenhöfe" residential area
• Details: Residents can reach Gemdental street via Karl-Liebknecht-Straße and an additional path to Am Jenzig street will be upgraded. A detour for the church cycle path will be signposted. Please see the attachment for information on access to the Talstein nursery.

Am Erlkönig

• Reason: Development of local heating network for the emerging residential area "Erlenhöfe"
• Details: From 15.06.2023, the closure in the Gembdental/ Am Erlkönig/ Am Jenzig junction area will be lifted.
