• Replacement of the sewer has been completed.

• Replacement of the drinking water pipe has been completed.

NEW CONSTRUCTION SITES / CLOSURES

Am Anger

• Type: Full closure of lanes
• Location: House number 30-32
• Duration: 28.06.2023 to 01.09.2023
• Reason: Work on the drinking water pipeline
• Details: There will be lane swings so that you can drive safely in and out of town.

EXISTING ROADWORKS

2x Am Erlkönig

• Type: Temporary closures of the verge and carriageway area
• Duration: until 31.07.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: The cycle path connection in the direction of Kunitz remains passable, but special caution is required due to partial closures in the edge and carriageway area of the cycle path.

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: up to the Talstein nursery
• Duration: until approx. 10.11.2023
• Reason: Development of the local heating network for the emerging "Erlenhöfe" residential area
• Details: From 15.06.2023, the closure at the Gembdental/ Am Erlkönig/ Am Jenzig junction will be lifted. The detour to the gardens and the nursery will be via Kunitz. Access to the gardens parallel to the campsite (between Gembdenbach and Am Erlkönig) is not possible.

Buchenweg

• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Damaschkeweg

Dammstraße

• Location: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße (1st construction phase)

• Reason: Line and traffic system renewal
• Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

• 2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

Drackendorf

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 30.06.2022
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

Erlanger Allee - cycle path connection between Lobeda-Ost and Lobeda-West

• Type: Closure of partial areas and path connections
• Location: between Theobald-Renner-Str. and Kastanienstraße junction and in the opposite direction
• Duration: until 29.02.2024
• Reason: Construction of a cycle path connection
• Details: In the first construction phase, the roadway will be closed on one side and the pedestrian crossing at Platanenstraße to Paul-Schneider-Straße will be fully closed.
• Attention: In the period 27.06.- 28.07.2023 there will be a full closure in the area of the Karl-Marx-Allee ramp in the direction out of town. The detour for private traffic will be via Matthias-Domaschk-Straße, Stauffenbergstraße, Fritz-Ritter-Straße and Emil-Wölk-Straße.

Friedrich-Engels-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 38
• Reason: Accident
• Details: As it is not yet possible to foresee what damage has been caused to the underground pipes or the road, it is not yet possible to announce the end of the works. Bus traffic will be diverted via Burgweg/Ziegenhainer Straße. Smaller buses will be used. In the direction of the city center, buses will run via Kernbergstraße/ Am Kochersgraben.

Sidewalk closure from Lutherplatz/ corner Saalbahnhofstraße to Dornburger Str. 52

• Duration: until 14.07.2023
• Reason: Installation/conversion of catenary masts
• Details: For the most part, pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. If the pavement is completely closed, pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted accordingly. The construction work will begin on 02.05.2023 at Lutherplatz / corner of Saalbahnhofstraße and end on 14.07.2023 at Dornburger Straße 52.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: The construction site can be passed on foot.

Kunitz

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 14.07.2023 (expected)
• Reason: Continuation of civil engineering work for fiber optic expansion
• Details: There will be restrictions in the areas of Laasaner Oberweg, Blumenröschenweg, Unter dem Heuhm, Hinter dem Spielberge, Am Mönchsberge, Am Wiesenbach and Am Spielberg.

Lobeda East and Illmnitz

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Lützeroda

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until 17.07.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables

2x Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 30.07.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

• Type: Closure of partial areas
• Location: From the main stadium access road to Roland-Ducke-Weg
• Duration: until 04.08.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the road and ancillary facilities
• Details: Access to the Oberaue will always be possible. In the first construction phase, work is currently underway from the main stadium access road to just before the Roland-Ducke-Weg junction. The construction site can be passed, but obstructions are to be expected. Cyclists can bypass the construction site safely and quickly. A detour has been set up and signposted for this purpose.
• In the 2nd construction phase from 24.04.2023, the main access road to the stadium will be closed on one side. Traffic will be guided alternately by a mobile traffic light system.

Philosophenweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location House number 28
• Duration: until 07.07.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Road users can reach Philosophenweg via the other exit. The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Schloßgasse

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Main entrance to the university up to the junction with Saalstraße
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the sewer
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Thomas-Münzer-Weg

• Reason: Construction of a residential building
• Details: The full closure is indicated by means of planning boards from both Jägerbergstraße and Max-Gräfe-Gasse. The restricted area must be driven around extensively. The construction site can be safely passed on foot and by bike

• Location: At the height of Roter Turm

• Reason: Track work for the new streetcars
• Details: Only initial rail traffic may use the construction site area

Nollendorfer road

• Location: between Thomas-Mann-Straße and Dornburger Straße

Weigelstraße

• Details: Access to Jenergasse and Hinter der Kirche street is still possible during the construction period

Winzerlaer Straße

• Location: in the area from Buchaer Straße to Mühlenstraße
• Start: 10.07.2023 to 22.12.2023
• Reason: ITR cable connection work
• Details: The construction work will be carried out in 8 construction phases at intervals of approx. 170m. Traffic will be guided past on both sides by means of mobile traffic lights. The client is Stadtwerke Jena.
