FINISHED CONSTRUCTION SITES

Lessingstraße level with Hnr. 8

• Redesign of the outdoor facilities of the adjacent building complex has been completed.

NEW CONSTRUCTION SITES / ROAD CLOSURES

Am Steinbach level crossing

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: 16.08.2023 from 8:00 am to 17.08.2023, 2:00 pm
• Reason: Work on the level crossing
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Brückenstraße. Pedestrians and cyclists will also not be able to cross the level crossing and will be diverted by means of detour signs.

Level crossing Brückenstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: 17.08.2023 from 14:00 to 18.08.2023, 16:00
• Reason: Work on the level crossing
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Am Steinbach road. Pedestrians and cyclists will also not be able to pass the level crossing and will be diverted by means of detour signs.

EXISTING ROADWORKS

Am Anger

• Type: Full closure of lanes
• Location: House number 30-32
• Duration: until 01.09.2023
• Reason: Work on the drinking water pipeline
• Details: There will be lane swings so that you can drive safely in and out of town.

Am Erlkönig

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: up to Talstein nursery
• Duration: until approx. 10.11.2023
• Reason: Development of the local heating network for the emerging "Erlenhöfe" residential area
• Details: From 15.06.2023, the closure at the Gembdental/ Am Erlkönig/ Am Jenzig junction will be lifted. The detour to the gardens and the nursery will be via Kunitz. Access to the gardens parallel to the campsite (between Gembdenbach and Am Erlkönig) is not possible.

Buchenweg

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: House number 34
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Construction site installation for the conversion of the adjacent school
• Details: Waiting is compulsory for vehicles meeting in the carriageway area.

Dammstraße

• Location: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße (1. construction phase)
• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 30.05.2024
• Reason: Renewal of pipelines and traffic facilities
• Details: The construction work is divided into two construction phases. Pedestrians can pass the construction site safely. A detour for private traffic will be signposted on site.

1st construction phase: Magnus-Poser-Straße to Schenkstraße
2nd construction phase: Schenkstraße to Charlottenstraße

Erlanger Allee - cycle path connection between Lobeda-Ost and Lobeda-West

• Type: Closure of sections and path connections
• Location: between Theobald-Renner-Str. and Kastanienstraße junction and in the opposite direction
• Duration: until 29.02.2024
• Reason: Construction of a cycle path connection
• Details: In the first construction phase, the roadway will be closed on one side and the pedestrian crossing at Platanenstraße to Paul-Schneider-Straße will be fully closed.
• Please note: The southern ramp towards Karl-Marx-Allee in the direction out of town (A4/ Stadtroda) will be closed from 29.06.2023 to 28.08.2023. A detour is signposted on site.

Sidewalk closure

• Location: From Lutherplatz/corner of Saalbahnhofstraße to Dornburger Straße 52
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Installation/conversion of catenary masts
• Details: For the most part, the construction site can be passed safely on foot. If there is a complete closure of the pavement, pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted accordingly on site.

Julius-Schaxel-Straße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Road expansion incl. pipe laying
• Details: The construction site cannot be crossed on foot in the direction of Eugen-Diederichs-Straße, as civil engineering work is taking place at the junction with Eugen-Diederichs-Starße.

Krippendorf

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Access from the direction of Closewitz/ Lützeroda
• Duration: until 18.08.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: Krippendorf can be approached via Vierzehnheiligen.

Kunitz

• Type: Temporary restrictions
• Duration: until approx. 31.08.2023
• Reason: Continuation of civil engineering work for fiber optic expansion
• Details: There will be restrictions in the areas of Laasaner Oberweg, Blumenröschenweg, Unter dem Heuhm, Hinter dem Spielberge, Am Mönchsberge, Am Wiesenbach, Am Spielberg, Lange Straße, Laasaner Straße and Bachgasse.

Lobeda old town

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
• Duration: until 30.11.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Lobeda East and Illmnitz

• Type: Temporary half-sided closure + footpath closure
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cable
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot

2x Löbdergraben

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At the height of the Roter Turm
• Duration: until 18.08.2023
• Reason: Track work for the new streetcars
• Details: Only initial rail traffic is allowed to use the construction site area.
• Attention: Access in the Uterm Markt area is guaranteed. Delivery traffic can temporarily drive from Unterm Markt to the left into Löbdergraben in the direction of Steinweg.

• Location: Corner of Fürstengraben
• Start: 10.07.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the backbone network
• Details: Only rail replacement traffic may use the construction site area.

Nollendorfer road

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: between Thomas-Mann-Straße and Dornburger Straße
• Duration: until 30.12.2023
• Reason: Major road renovation

2x Oberaue

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: From the Saaleeingang Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld entrance to just before the Lichtenhainer Brücke bridge
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Work on the stadium grandstand
• Details: The Lichtenhain Bridge is not affected by the closure. A detour for pedestrians and cyclists is signposted.

• Type: Closure of partial areas
• Location: From the main stadium access road to Roland-Ducke-Weg
• Duration: until 30.11.2023
• Reason: Expansion of the road and ancillary facilities
• Details: Access to the Oberaue will always be possible. In the first construction phase, work is currently underway from the main stadium access road to just before the Roland-Ducke-Weg junction. The construction site can be passed, but obstructions are to be expected. Cyclists can bypass the construction site safely and quickly. A detour has been set up and signposted for this purpose.

Rautal - Am Rosenhang

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: out-of-town lane
• Duration: until 20.08.2023
• Reason: Reconstruction of the drinking water pipeline

Saalbahnhofstraße

• Location: At Hotel Schwarzer Bär
• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 18.08.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering works and cable laying
• Details: Traffic will be diverted via Am Anger and Lutherplatz. Cyclists must temporarily use the sidewalk along the Hotel Schwarzer Bär.

Sandweg

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: House number 4-8
• Duration: until 24.11.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the district heating pipeline
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Schloßgasse

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: Main entrance to the university to the junction with Saalstraße
• Duration: until 31.08.2023
• Reason: Renewal of the sewer
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Stairway Schützenhofstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Location: At house number 81
• Duration: until 13.10.2023
• Reason: Staircase demolition and new construction
• Details: Pedestrians can use the stairs between Ottogerd-Mühlmann-Straße and Closewitzer Straße.

Winzerlaer Straße

• Type: Sectional half-sided closures
• Location: in the area from Buchaer Straße to Mühlenstraße
• Duration: until 22.12.2023
• Reason: Connection changes to the Fichtlerwiesen / cable work
• Details: The construction work will be carried out in 8 construction phases at intervals of approx. 170m. Traffic will be guided alternately by means of mobile construction site traffic lights. The client is Satdtwerke Jena.

Weigelstraße

• Type: Complete closure
• Duration: until 01.09.2023
• Reason: Replacement of district heating pipes
• Details: Access to Jenergasse and Hinter der Kirche street is still possible during the construction period.

Wöllnitz

• Type: Temporary half-side closure + sidewalk closure
• Duration: until 30.09.2023
• Reason: Civil engineering work for laying fiber optic cables
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Ziegenhain

• Type: Temporary restrictions

• Details: A detour will be signposted on site.

• Reason: Installation of medium voltage cable

• Location: Lower Löbichauer Straße (Karl-Liebknecht-Straße to Eschenplatz)

• Reason: Civil engineering works
• Details: The construction site can be passed safely on foot.

Rautal

• Type: Half-sided closure
• Location: from the junction with Erich-Kuithan-Straße to the junction with Ottoger-Mühlmann-Straße
• Duration: 21.08. to 13.12.2023
• Reason: Asphalt work + construction of new sidewalk
