Consultation day of the Thuringian Ombudsman in Jena

08.10.2024

The Thuringian Ombudsman, Dr. Kurt Herzberg, is coming to Jena for a consultation day. Citizens will receive advice during the consultation day and can raise their concerns. The consultation day will take place on 15.10.2024, from 9:00 a.m., in the city administration of Jena (Lutherplatz 3; consultation room 001 on the ground floor; 07743 Jena).

For organizational reasons, interested parties are requested to make a personal appointment in advance by calling 0361-57 3113871. Documents relating to the concerns, such as notifications or other letters from authorities, should be brought along to the appointments.

"I try to clarify citizens' concerns and support them in their dealings with the authorities. The direct exchange, talking to each other and taking an interest in citizens' concerns are key aspects of my work,"

says Dr. Kurt Herzberg.

That is why it is particularly important to him to offer regular consultation days in Thuringia's local authorities. The Thuringian Ombudsman helps in all cases in which citizens are affected by an action of the public administration. Everyone has the right to turn to the Ombudsman with their concerns. The Ombudsman helps quickly and unbureaucratically in the search for an amicable solution, clarifies difficult issues and explains legal contexts. Advice is free of charge.

Citizens' concerns can also be sent by e-mail to post@buergerbeauftragter-thueringen.de or in writing to P.O. Box 90 04 55, 99107 Erfurt.
