Consultation hour with Mayor Benjamin Koppe
From now on, the citizens of Jena have the opportunity to talk directly to the mayor and head of department Benjamin Koppe. The Department of Finance, Security and Citizen Services is creating an additional opportunity for a personal exchange on key municipal issues with its regular citizen consultation hours.
Questions, comments and concerns relating to the department's areas of responsibility can be addressed during the consultation hours. These include the fire department and emergency response, public safety and order, budget and finance, statistical bases for municipal decisions and family and citizen services. The aim is to make municipal decisions transparent and to take up suggestions directly from citizens.
The first meeting will take place on Friday, January 30, 2026, at 2:30 pm. Interested citizens are invited to come along in person, ask questions or describe specific concerns.
Mayor Benjamin Koppe emphasizes: "The direct exchange with citizens is an important part of my work. The consultation hour offers the opportunity to address concerns openly, explain the background and look for solutions together."
The citizens' consultation hour takes place in Department 2, Am Anger 28, on the second floor in room 01.02_39. Please register in advance by sending an e-mail to buergermeister@jena.de
