Consultation hour with mayor continues
Following the launch of the new Citizens' Consultation Hour by Mayor and Head of Department Benjamin Koppe in January, he is continuing the offer of talks. The next appointment will take place on Friday, March 27, 2026, from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.
With this format, the Department of Finance, Security and Citizen Services continues to offer the opportunity for direct exchange. Citizens can put forward their questions, comments and concerns in person and talk to the mayor.
In terms of content, the focus is on the department's entire range of tasks. This includes issues relating to public safety and order, the fire department and emergency response, the budget and finances, as well as concerns relating to family and citizen services. The citizens' consultation hour supplements the existing contact options with a regular personal meeting.
Mayor Benjamin Koppe emphasizes: "The feedback from the first citizens' consultation hour shows that there is a great need for direct exchange. It is important to me to be approachable for citizens and to address their concerns directly. The Citizens' Consultation creates a fixed framework for this and makes it possible to discuss issues at an early stage and in person."
The Citizens' Consultation takes place in Department 2, Am Anger 28, on the second floor in room 01.02_39. Please register in advance on the website of the City of Jena under Registration for consultation hours with the mayor.
