Containment obligation lifted from May 3
In recent days, there has been a downward trend in the number of new outbreaks of avian influenza in Germany.
As the outbreak in the district of Saale-Holzland and the independent city of Jena has also come to a standstill and no further confirmed cases of avian influenza have been recorded and the control measures in accordance with the Avian Influenza Ordinance have been completed, the general order to keep poultry in isolation will be lifted on 03.05.2021 .
However, great caution is still advised when trading live poultry in the traveling trade and intra-Community movements in relation to countries with a pronounced outbreak.
