Cooperation agreement signed between Brovary, Jena and Erlangen
The mayors of the Ukrainian and German cities met today in an online meeting to sign the cooperation agreement between Brovary, Jena and Erlangen. The three city parliaments had each decided on this solidarity partnership.
All sides expressed the hope that they would be able to hold the meeting in person as soon as possible. Jena has already extended an invitation to Brovary to receive a delegation in the Thuringian city at the beginning of June. This should enable a direct exchange with all interested parties.
The participants in the meeting were
- from Brovary: Mayor Ihor Saposchko, Deputy Mayor Larysa Vynogradova, International Affairs Officer Olena Korovina;
- from Erlangen: Lord Mayor Dr. Florian Janik, Peter Steger, Silvia Klein
- from Jena: Lord Mayor Dr. Thomas Nitzsche, Matthias Bettenhäuser, Thérèse Tabbone
- as well as Artem Sadomow (Engagement Global Ukraine)
- and two translators
Planning for the visit of the delegation from Brovary is due to start at the beginning of April. Questions and requests can be sent by email to the office of the Lord Mayor of Jena: internationales@jena.de.
