Corona situation: 159 new infections at the weekend

The Health Service has reported 159 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) over the past three days.

Of these, 68 cases were reported on Friday, 10 on Saturday and 81 on Sunday. Unlike many authorities in the Free State, the Jena Health Department also reports new infections at the weekend. The figures therefore also reflect the actual infection situation.

So far, there is evidence of 88 cases of Omikron.

The following facilities are newly affected by infections:
Jenzigblick daycare center, Janusz Korczak daycare center, Leutragarten daycare center, Ziegenhainer Tal daycare center
Heinrich Heine School

Further infections have occurredin an already reported retirement home.
