Corona situation in Jena: 109 new infections

The Health Service reported 109 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday, November 18.

Facilities affected by new infections and subsequent cases on 18.11.

Infections or subsequent cases have occurredin the following daycare centers and schools:
Kita Kindervilla, Kita Bertolla, Kita Isserstedter Naturschwärmer

Lobdeburgschule, Christliches Gymnasium, Adolf-Reichwein-Gymnasium, IGS Grete Unrein, Talschule

Further information

• The health department is still unable to process cases on a daily basis. This is causing delays in the care of daycare centers and schools.
• Two retirement homes are currently affected by infections. In the home already affected, infections have occurred in 10 further residents. An isolated case has occurred in another nursing home.
• The deceased person with a Covid19 infection has no connection to a retirement home.
• In preparation for the new Infection Protection Act and the associated 3G rule for employees, the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs has set up an FAQ page.
