Corona situation in Jena: 111 new infections
On Wednesday, December 22, the Health Service reported 111 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).
Around 50 cases were reported after the reporting deadline .

Results of PCR tests in care homes are expected later today. The hope is to open many residential areas for visits over the Christmas holidays.
Suspected cases of Omikron
The expected laboratory result for the case of a person returning from a trip has now arrived, confirming the suspected case of Omikron. The person had contracted the new variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virusin Great Britain.
