Corona situation in Jena: 21 new infections
21 SARS-CoV-2 infections were reported to the health department on Thursday, 22.04.2021 (until midnight).
On the incidence of infection:
Positive rapid tests were again reported from social institutions, which are currently still being validated with PCR tests. These include daycare centers, schools, an adult education center and a retirement home.
In two cases, infections that have now been detected by PCR tests can be traced back to staff eating meals together.
Statistics:
As the regulations of the new Infection Protection Act are linked to the statistical figures of the Robert Koch Institute (RKI), we will adopt the calculation method for incidence values used there from today.
The total number of Jena COVID cases to be found in the RKI dashboard may still differ from those reported by us in the next few days. The figures should be congruent by next week at the latest. The jumps in the numbers of hospitalized and recovered persons are due to the software changeover and data cleansing reported yesterday. We therefore apologize for the delay in reporting today in this context.
