Corona situation in Jena: 211 new infections

211 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were reported to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) by the Health Service on Wednesday, February 2, 2022. This brings the incidence to over 700. Over 100 cases were registered that evening and will be entered into the system and reported today.
The number of cases in schools and daycare centers continues to increase and infections spread quickly within families.
The first case of the Omikron subtype BA.2 was registered in Jena yesterday.
