Corona situation in Jena: 34 new infections again
On Tuesday, January 11, the Health Service once again reported 34 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI). A further 50 cases were reported late in the evening and could not yet be reported to the RKI. Today's 7-day incidence of 261 therefore does not reflect the real incidence of infection.
Background to the case incidence
The following facilities are newly affected by infections:
Schatzinsel daycare center, Burgweg daycare center
Montessori School, Schiller School, Saaletal School, Schott High School, Vocational School for Health and Social Affairs.
There are also seven positive pool tests from daycare centers that still need to be investigated further.
So far, there is evidence of 71 cases of Omikron. Many cases were reported with a delay of around one week.
