Corona situation in Jena: 345 new infections

On Tuesday, March 8, 345 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were reported to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) by the Health Service.

A further 300 cases were reported by the laboratories after the reporting deadline and are now being processed.

A person over 90 years old died in a retirement home with a Covid-19 infection.

New infections were reported from 35 school classes.

Many daycare centers and retirement homes are affected by individual infections or outbreaks.
