Corona situation in Jena: 350 new infections

On March 16, 2022, 350 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were reported to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) by the Health Service.

Almost 800 cases are currently unprocessed and there are considerable delays in laboratory results.

Background to the case history

New infections have been reported from 13 schools and 12 daycare centers.

An outbreak has been reported in a retirement home. Individual infections have occurred in other social facilities. Investigations are currently underway.
