Corona situation in Jena: 629 new infections

On Tuesday, March 22, 629 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus were reported to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) by the Health Service.

Around 600 cases have not yet been processed.

The incidence has now passed the 3,000 mark.

Background information on the cases

New infections have been reported from 8 schools and 11 daycare centers.

An outbreak in a retirement home is currently showing the full extent of the coronavirus wave. Almost all residents are affected by an infection. Other social facilities are also affected by extensive infections.
