Corona situation in Jena: 70 new cases

The health department reported 70 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Tuesday, November 16.

3 further deaths

Unfortunately, 3 further deaths have been reported. One deceased person lived in the Vitanas retirement home with an outbreak. This brings the total number of deaths there in this context to 7.

2 people died with a positive Covid19 infection and were already very elderly.

Hospitalization figures

In our Jena statistics, the numbers of people residing in Jena are reported. This also applies to hospitalizations.

Far more patients are being treated at Jena University Hospital: currently 17 people with Covid19 disease in the intensive care unit and a further 24 coronavirus caseson other wards.
