Corona situation in Jena: 74 new cases
On Tuesday, November 2, the Health Service reported 74 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).
Statistically, this is the highest number this year. However, not all cases could be processed. It must therefore be assumed that the daily number of infections has reached a new high since March 2020.
Causes of infection are almost exclusively the passing on of the virus within families.
It must be assumed that warning level 3 will apply from tomorrow. The crisis management team will decide on suitable measures at its meeting on Thursday. Unfortunately, the framework of the Thuringian containment decree offers only a few options here.
The reported death is merely yesterday's statistical correction.
