Corona situation in Jena: 86 new infections

On Tuesday, December 21, the Health Service reported 86 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

Around the same number of cases have not yet been processed.

Facilities affected by new infections and subsequent cases

Anne Frank daycare center, Munketal daycare center, Bertolla daycare center, Leutragarten daycare center

16 social facilities are currently affected by infections. The results of the series of tests from retirement homes are not yet available.

Suspected cases of Omikron

There are currently 2 suspected cases of the Omikron variant of the SARS-CoV-2 virus. In one case, no contact infections have occurred; the results for the second case are expected today.
