Corona situation picture for Jena: 11 new infections

The specialist health service has reported 11 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Monday, 03 January 2022. A further death of a person over 70 years of age has occurred as a result of corona disease.

The 7-day incidence decreases to 292.6. However, it is likely that due to delayed reporting over the holidays, the incidence of infection is not accurately represented.

Background to the incidence of cases

Currently, no community facilities are affected. Also the extensive smear campaign in a retirement home has not resulted in any subsequent cases. Currently, 6 cases have been detected with the Omikron variant of the coronavirus.
