Corona situation picture for Jena

01.04.2021

There were 18 new SARS-CoV-2 infections reported to the Health Department on Wednesday, 3/31/2021 (by midnight). 4 persons were classified as recovered.

One case has occurred in a daycare center, here the contacts are researched and then quarantine measures are ordered.

According to the public health department, it can be observed that infections are passed on significantly more within families. This is due to the fact that virus mutations are frequently detected and spread more quickly.

Active cooperation of the citizens is necessary

Due to the high number of new cases of infection, the identification of contact persons can no longer be fully guaranteed for the time being. Here the colleagues of the public health department ask for active assistance of the citizens.

  • Persons who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 are therefore requested to inform their contacts independently.
  • The contact persons are asked to go into domestic quarantine.
  • Furthermore, persons who have tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 are asked to fill out a contact person list. It is available on Coronavirus. Please email this list to gesundheitsamt@jena.de. This will ensure that contact persons who have to quarantine themselves are entitled to financial compensation afterwards.

The official quarantine orders by the Health Department will be delivered with a time delay.
