On Thursday, October 28, 2021, the Health Service reported 44 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI).

Background to the case incidence

The cases are spread across the family, professional and sporting environment. Corona cases have also been reported for the following institutions - contact tracing investigations are still ongoing:

  • Angergymnasium
  • Kaleidoscope School
  • Sports high school
  • Ernst Abbe Grammar School
  • SBBS Health and Social Services
  • Am Steiger daycare center
  • Catholic kindergarten

No current figures on quarantine orders are currently available. According to the Thuringian early warning system, warning level 2 applies for Jena.
