Corona situation picture for Jena
The Health Service reported 17 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday, October 14. The 7-day incidence has thus risen again compared to the previous day (68.6). Jena has the fourth-lowest incidence in Thuringia.
Background to the incidence of infection
Further subsequent cases have resulted from infections in schools. One positive case was reported at the Jenaplan School and one at the "Am Steiger" daycare center. The further incidence of infection concerns subsequent cases in families.
Today, voluntary mass PCR tests are also being carried out at the Wenigenjena community school, as cases there are spread across different classes and a larger outbreak must be assumed.
