Corona situation picture for Jena: 70 new infections

The specialist health service has reported 70 new infections with the SARS-CoV-2 virus to the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) on Thursday, 06 January 2022.

Background to the case history

Six additional pool tests in Jena daycare centers were positive yesterday. In total, there have been 13 since the middle of the week. Initial individual findings have confirmed positive cases, so that quarantine measures for individual groups have been ordered for five more daycare centers:

Kita Kurz und Klein, Kita Pinocchio, Kita Munketal, Jenaplan Kita, Kita Wirbelwind.

There are currently no new cases in senior citizen facilities. Among the newly infected persons, there are few elderly people (over 60).

A total of 13 Omikron cases have been detected so far.
