Corona situation picture for Jena

There were 5 new SARS-CoV-2 infections reported to the Health Department on Monday, 07/03/2021 (by midnight).

19 persons were classified as recovered.

Virus mutations are becoming more widespread. Individual foci of infection are linked, according to health department tracings.

In the meantime, it is possible to speak of two pandemics - the original virus type is now largely under control. On the other hand, new virus types (British and South African) are gaining the upper hand. These are clearly more infectious and occur more frequently in children.
