Crowdfunding for the "Klimabahn Jena"

A climate streetcar for Jena - that is the goal of the current crowdfunding campaign of the Round Table for Climate and Environment. Around 10,000 euros are needed so that a streetcar in the city of light can promote climate-friendly mobility for a year. To this end, it is to bear the slogan "CO2 avoidance has right of way - not just on the road". The "warming stripes" by British climate scientist Ed Hawkins are to be displayed in the background.

These climate stripes form a colored barcode that makes the rise in temperature on Earth visible at a glance. The increased average temperature of the Earth's atmosphere in the period from 1850 (blue tones) to 2018 (red tones) is shown using blue to red lines.

The Round Table is hoping for a great deal of support from the people of Jena as a clear sign that they want to put the brakes on the climate crisis. The project was initiated by Scientists-for-Future Jena. The crowdfunding runs until 08.05.2023.
