Day of sport and health promotion 2023

In the period from September 2022 to January 2023, 18 elementary school in Jena successfully took part in the physical activity check for third-graders in school sports. This check is at the heart of the state-wide program "active children = healthier children". Scientific studies have shown that children who are physically active and have good motor skills perform better at school and grow up healthier and happier.
At the end of the exercise check, the Stadtsportbund Jena e.V. is organizing a day of sport and health promotion. 16 sports clubs and partners of the Stadtsportbund are supporting this event, presenting a colorful range of exercise, sports and nutrition activities and inviting people to take part and try out their sports.

Girls and boys in third grade and their families are invited, as well as all other children and young people who would like to take part in regular sports activities at a sports club.
Important: All participating children need sportswear. All third-graders who have taken part in the physical activity check should wear their red T-shirt.
Around 5 workshops are planned for the period 13:30-14:30. Among other things, there will be the opportunity to try out diving and swimming in the adjacent indoor swimming pool. Swimwear and a swimming permit from the parents are required.
